Arkansas Razorback Watch Party

We hosted a watch party for the Alabama Crimson Tide versus the beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. I didn't want it to look "theme-y" so I used the red and white color scheme, but I used modern patterns and fonts.  I kept things clean and tight and popped white serving pieces off of vessels I covered in red wrapping paper from Target. For the popcorn cones, I took scrapbook paper and rolled them up.  I created the backdrop for the food table by taking fabric and wrapping it around a frame I screwed together.  Rather than using an iconic Razorback image, I took the webster definition of a razorback and cut and pasted it into a word document.  I then had the document printed on a 24x36 in black and white, which only cost me $3.00 at Office Depot!

I made all of the paper goods myself: party invitation, cupcake toppers, food labels, and the "Concessions" banner hanging from the front of the table. The fabrics I found on sale at Hancock Fabrics for 50% off. I made all the food myself, and we gave them clever names relating to football or the Razorbacks such as, "Gridiron Garlic Biscuits", "Hog Snout Cookies", and "Petrino Pop." We served a southwest chili recipe with biscuits, pigs-in-a-blanket, an artichoke and spinach dip, and complimented it all with cake, chocolate strawberries, cupcakes, and cookies.

It was a ton of fun, even if we did lose. GO HOGS!!
